Singapore’s Premier Pickleball Destination — Our Story

PickleChoo was founded by Tan Xu Teng of the TAG International Group for his mentor and close friend, Justice (Ret) Choo Han Teck. The name says it all: the Choo in PickleChoo is Justice Choo himself. Justice Choo’s journey from Singapore’s highest courts to the pickleball courts was profiled in depth by Channel NewsAsia’s Up Close programme. Since then, PickleChoo has been featured on Channel 8 News Today, Yahoo Life Singapore, and recognised by leading international directories as one of Singapore’s finest pickleball facilities.

The Name Behind PickleChoo

Justice (Ret) Choo Han Teck served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore — one of the most senior judicial positions in the country. A lifelong sportsman with deep roots in racket sports, Justice Choo — mentor and close friend to Tan Xu Teng — inspired the creation of PickleChoo in his honour. The vision was simple: a pickleball facility that didn’t cut corners on court quality, coaching, or community.

Our Head of Coaching: XT Tan

XT Tan is the founder of the TAG International Tennis Academy and head of coaching at PickleChoo. A practising Singapore attorney and former Singapore Open Men’s Doubles champion, XT has led Singapore’s racket sports coaching landscape since 2001. As an ITF-certified coach with over two decades of experience developing players from beginner to competitive level, XT designed PickleChoo’s coaching curriculum and personally selected and certified every coach on the PickleChoo team.

XT’s combination of legal, sporting, and coaching credentials gives PickleChoo’s programme a rigour and structure that’s rare in the Singapore racket sports coaching market.

Our Three Venues

PickleChoo operates three distinct venues across Singapore — all open to the public, with a focus on long-term block bookings to build dedicated pickleball communities:

  • PickleChoo Arena (One North, Buona Vista) — Our flagship public venue at 11 Slim Barracks Rise, S138664. Open daily 6am–10pm. Walk-ins welcome, court hire and equipment rental available.
  • PickleChoo Prime (New Industrial Road) — Premium public-access venue at Primax Building, 22 New Industrial Road, S536208. Ideal for regular players and communities, with priority scheduling for long-term block bookers and coaching clinics available.
  • PickleChoo Apex — Singapore’s most premium pickleball venue. Open to all players, with best-in-class court surfaces, glare-free professional lighting, and spectator seating. Long-term block bookings welcomed.
